No words could capture the agony and the pain of the last 36 to 40 hours of the life of Christ. Tonight I’m going to try to paint this picture as we put all the Gospel records together.

God’s best to you,
Duke Clarke

What happened in the hours and minutes before Christ’s arrest and torture? Tonight I want to show you the amazing love that Christ had to teach and minister to those who were with him up until the last minute before he was arrested.

Tonight we continue on in the series and I want to show you three events that most people call contradictions in the scriptures. I don’t believe there are contradictions and I’ll show you tonight that these are separate events on separate days all leading up to the sacrifice of the passover lamb –Jesus Christ.

During this time of the year that we refer to as Easter, why has no one (or at least very few) ever asked the question, “How does anyone get 3 days and 3 nights out of Good Friday afternoon to early Sunday morning?”

The scriptures clearly say that just as Jonas was in the belly of the whale 3 days and 3 nights so shall the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth for 3 days and 3 nights– Matthew 12:40

It doesn’t say two nights and one day, it says three days and three nights. Now I know most people don’t put much importance in the details of the scriptures, but I do. There has to be answer and if you care to know like I did, listen to this first podcast of a series on the Last Week of Christ’s Life.

If you don’t think it matters and you are happy with your traditions, just consider, if you’ve accepted the Friday to Sunday being 3 days and 3 nights what else have you accepted that isn’t true about your Christian faith?

Hope you will enjoy the series and will comment.

God’s best to you,
Duke Clarke

Too often today, Christians get “The Mission” and “The Message” mixed up. There used to be a sign in front of a Church in Tucson, AZ that said “The Alive Church: Where the music is always rocking and the coffee is always hot”.

That’s not the message I know about Christ. That may be their mission but it seems to have become their message and that’s the problem. Join me tonight so I can help you sort all this out.

And if you are one of those who thinks the Christian message should be about political, social, economical or culture issue–you really should join me and listen to what I have to say.

God’s best to you,
Duke Clarke

Tonight I want to show you how to face the sometimes ugly truth of a situation and still have hope. If you have to busy your mind to quiet the fears, then you are running from reality and that will never work. I hope this podcast helps.

God’s best to you,
Duke

Suffering is a big topic among most Christians. They love to talk about it, think about it, sometimes they even do it. But I have a problem with it as a main line Christian Doctrine, especially as I examine Simple Christianity. Be warned this isn’t your grandfather’s warm and cosy Bible teaching.

God’s best to you,
Duke
